The Good Sitter

Khari went through the Red Cross Babysitters Course in Okinawa. This class also certifies them in First Aid and CPR. The CPR was only good for one year so we have been trying to get her re-certified here but the Red Cross Chapter cancelled the last class so she needs to get into the next one. In the meantime she has been brushing up on her first aid at home. She was practicing the blanket drag for fire rescue with Malachi and Tyler.

Haircuts

The boys haven't had haircuts in so long. I have really missed the convenience of walking to the PX, like in Okinawa, and getting their haircut. Here we have to drive in traffic to a base not even remotely within walking distance. Not to mention for a bad haircut (this time). I was disappointed. I want the cute, little Okinawan women cutting the boy's hair.....sigh.

I just can't seem to find all the amazing beauty I saw on the island. I know it is here, I just can't see it yet. I guess I just need to get out there and start exploring.

Pee Pee Dance

I started potty training Tyler back in Okinawa. We had a set back there and held off until we moved. We now started potty training again and we just completed a successful 5th day. I now realized in Okinawa he just wasn't ready. He is ready now! We are still working on things like him telling me he has to go. I basically have to look for him doing the "pee pee dance". He also still won't go on a big toilet, he'll sit on one now, but won't go. So for all of you who didn't care to read about my child and potty training, sorry. I am proud of both of us. Before I sent the kids to daycare and they basically potty trained them for me.

Oh, and can you tell he likes to dress himself now too? Great outfit, I had to keep him in the backyard with this get-up. Underwear, pajama top and snow hat on an 80 degree day.

Spooky

Spooky? Hardly. Malachi stayed home with me and Tyler to hand out candy. Malachi didn't feel like dressing up and Tyler wore an old costume of Malachi's when he was 2 years old. Khari walked around with her friends and collected some candy. I really don't like Halloween. I am much more into 4th of July and the patriotic holidays. Glad its over, see you when I post next year.

This Old House

Alright here it is, the old house. Everyone has wanted to see a picture of our house. Told you it was nothing fancy. It is 20 years old and it is a little bigger than the brand new house we had before (in Chesapeake). As with every house it has its plus and minuses, but with the amount of time we had to find one after being jipped out of the other house it is great. We really can't complain. Great neighbors, excellent schools, prime location, one giganic truck my husband left me to drive while he is gone.....what more do you want?
